On November 19, 2020, in the pastor's monthly chapter talk here at the parish, a "Year of St. Joseph" was declared to help strengthen our ties to our patronal saint and to help us discern our collective future emerging from the Covid-19 pandemic and other global crises.
On December 8, 2020, Pope Francis declared a "Year of St. Joseph" for the universal church. We are excited by the reinforcing possibilities for us at the parish.

PASTOR’S CHAPTER TALK – November 19, 2020
The Gospel means good news, as you all probably now. It is a message that contains a truth, the greatest truth about God and about us. Every parish carries that message. But every parish carries that message in a different way. Every parish has a different culture, a different patron, a different location. As the pastor I am the carrier of the message of the parish. So what do we want to say about who we are? I am here tonight to announce that we are going to take a significant part of time to discern who we are. Between Advent and the Feast of Saint Joseph in March of 2022, we are going to have a "Year of St. Joseph," where we will turn more and more to our parish for help in discerning where we stand with God, each other and with our town. We will have a lot of events, a lot of discussions and we will involve all the areas of parish life. I think it is time to have something visual to identify who we are, to have a message with that. And so tonight I am presenting our new image of St. Joseph, as he is experiencing his famous dreams, and our new colors of green and blue, because we are very close to nature and the water. We are also including the spirals and colors of our stained-glass window in the letter design. I hope you like them! And may St. Joseph lead us in our discipleship toward a new future.
